You Had One Job!
Everyone knows that when it comes to the work grind, it’s inevitable that you’ll have a little slip-up here or there when you’re tuckered out or just not thinking straight for whatever reason, but sometimes those mess ups are actually a bigger deal than expected. When a business is deciding how to best put themselves out there and advertise their goods or services, a sign or logo is pretty much one of the first things they have to decide on. But in the case of this discount store, “99¢ Power,” they really dropped the ball. Yes, it’s annoying when certain bargain shops have “99¢” or “dollar” in the name when in reality the prices vary, such as at Dollar General, but the way this store decided to fix that dilemma is awkward at best and totally confusing at worst.
“All items 99¢ and up or less.” That basically points out to the consumer, “Yeah, our store name is real misleading.”
Also, they seem to have one store in New York and another in New Jersey, with both getting terrible reviews on Yelp. One customer even reports that the staff often charge higher prices compared to items’ tags. 99¢ and up, I guess! We’ll definitely be steering clear of these stores if we’re ever in Middletown or North Brunswick.
