A Waffle House in Tuscumbia, Alabama, was in total pandemonium last week after a man crashed down through the ceiling above a table and scuffled with patrons and employees alike as he made his getaway.
According to WAAY TV, the man was identified as 27-year-old Glenn Bost from Birmingham, Alabama. Police say that he climbed into the ceiling after locking himself in the establishment’s bathroom.
Tuscumbia police say that Bost was gone from the Waffle House when they arrived, but that they know who he is and are “obtaining warrants at this time.” After escaping the restaurant, he allegedly fled the scene in his car and later on foot.
“We’re glad everybody’s OK—nobody was injured,” Pat Warner, a representative for Waffle House, told Fox News. “We’re not sure why this gentleman went into the bathroom and crawled up onto our ceiling.” It was also confirmed that the man broke the restaurant’s sink and toilet.

According to the Times Daily, Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan says that Bost was trying to break into the restaurant’s office via the ceiling in order to steal something. He is currently being pursued on charges of “criminal mischief and burglary.”
