In horrifying news for fast food fans across the country, Taco Bell has recalled 2.3 million pounds of ground beef.
According to a statement released by Taco Bell North American president Julie Masino, the recall occurred after a metal shaving was found in their beef by one customer. That announcement was first made by Taco Bell North American president Julie Masino in a statement where the fast food chain’s top brass claimed that “nothing is more important than our customers’ safety, and nothing means more to us than their trust.”

People are worried that this lack of beef will directly affect their taco habits. This recall will affect people in 21 states, mostly across the Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast. Taco Bell has not yet released when they will able to restock the beef.

We appreciate their value for our safety but that is a lot of beef to recall from one report. Maybe Taco Bell is a little sensitive after they were sued in 2011 by people claiming that their meat contained only 35% beef.
For now, they are suggesting that you try different fillings. Potato and egg taco anyone? For not at least approximately 11,500 cows worth of meat are finding their way to the rubbish tip.
