Kids have the strangest imaginations and ideas. And now, that they're older, they have so much regret and face-palm moments.
Desire To Be A Mother At 6 Years Old

“Between the ages of about 6 and 9, I would occasionally go through these periods where I was convinced I could get pregnant if I just wished hard enough. I really wanted a baby girl because I already had two brothers, my mom couldn’t have any more kids, and my dad didn’t want to adopt. One day on the playground I told my friend I was pregnant and she said there was no way because I’d have to have done ‘it’. I didn’t know what ‘it’ was, but long story short, I accidentally implied that someone had had sex with me when I was six. Luckily, nothing came of that.”
Addicted To Pet Food?

“I would steal dog treats from the bin and eat them…daily.”
Dragon Imagination

“I used to enjoy thinking I was a green dragon trapped into a Children’s show. I would sing random songs (I do remember the ‘Going to the Pool’ song or the ‘Autumn Party’ song) for the show not to be so boring – a five years old’s life isn’t all that interesting, for my hypothetical viewers, to watch.”
Bug Crafts

“I used to find roly poly’s and earth worms to save in an old peanut butter jar and make it a home for them. Now, as a grown adult who hates all bugs, I don’t know WTF I was thinking… also I do NOT know what happened to all those jars filled with bugs…”
Dance When No One Is Watching

“I used to go in my backyard, lay a blanket down, and dance to music. I did it often too. I was like 9? Still don’t know what my goal was with that.”
Child Action-Movie Stars

“My friends and I would set a video camera up in the backyard and crank out the boombox, with some form of fight music; (I think the 1st tomb raider film soundtrack had just come out which was a favorite). Picture five, 10-12 year old, boys pretend fighting as though they were in a movie. We used to do a slow motion piece in the middle as well. We ALWAYS choreographed the slow motion, but the rest of it was just ad lib. Then we would get the popcorn out and watch this 5 minute video back and critique all the fighting and cheer and be amazed if some of the punches looked real.”
Weird Bed Time Ritual

“Never really hugged a teddy bear or anything of the sort while going to sleep as a kid, instead would always hug the freaking walls… I don’t know why.”
Bug Fighting

“I used to capture grasshoppers at my school, keep them in a plastic bag (with holes of course), and take off their legs. Sometimes I took them home and put them in a container with other bugs and I got them to fight. The best one was spider vs ant vs grasshopper; Spider killed them all. Saying this makes me realize how weird I was back then.”
Homemade Fog

“I used to add a little bit of milk to my water and call it “fog” (I lived in a foggy coastal area at the time). Even the idea of doing that now absolutely disgusts me.”
Chalk Dust Obsession

Shutterstock/JaneUK
“All the kids in my neighborhood used to take butter knives to sticks of chalk and just widdle away, scraping off the chalk dust into a shoe box for collection. We were like little chalk dust zombies. We wouldn’t speak – just carve. Now there’s a box of chalk dust in one of our attics.”
Horse-Play

“I would walk on all fours, while holding plastic cups, so I could sound like a horse.”
Reenacting Jackass

“I was in middle school when Jackass first started. So, my friends and I used to go everywhere with a camera, trying to recreate and reenact all of the stunts performed on the show. We were not very creative and we were all worried about getting hurt so we rarely captured anything good or funny. I remember people watching us just shaking their heads at how stupid we were acting. There were some cringeworthy moments for sure.”
Worm Serial Killer

“When I was little, around 4 or 5, my dad would take me out fishing. I used to take the worms and cut them up and put them out on the boat to roast in the sun… my dad thought it was hilarious and for some reason. I thought it was more fun than just sitting on the boat, bored to death. Now I’m in college and soon going into the criminal justice/psychology field. What surprises me the most is that I did that to worms, when I’m a very highly empathetic person and have always cared for others.”
Tea Bag Smokers

“The kids in my neighborhood used to smoke tea bags. I genuinely have no idea why, but I thought they were cool AF at the time.”
Deodorant Hair Gel?

“When I was little, I didn’t know the difference between hair gel and gel deodorant, figuring that they both had gel on them. So I may have gone to elementary school for a few days with deodorant to style my hair.”
