Whatever happened to naps? They were the best part of kindergarten, they’ve been found to increase productivity and overall happiness in numerous studies and they’re generally accepted as awesome — So why don’t we take them at work? Greek company Studio NL have had the same thought, and are in the process of making nap desks a reality as we speak.
The “1.6 S.M. of Life” prototype features a normal desk surface, but underneath is essentially a floor-level bunk bed, so you can nap without ever leaving the convenience of your own workspace. The bed even has optional walls which can be added for extra privacy, which is a feature we’re definitely going to be taking advantage of. We can’t wait until they’re available to the public!
