Did Meghan have a secret fling with an A-Lister? Is she taking her baby to America and never coming back? There are plenty of royal rumors flying. We turned to our sister site, Gossip Cop to debunk the most ridiculous.
George Clooney And Meghan Markle?
One of this week’s tabloids claims George Clooney and Meghan Markle had a “secret fling” several years ago. There’s no truth to the story. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
Defense Of The Duchess Of Sussex
On more than one occasion over the past couple of months, the movie star has defended the Duchess of Sussex in interviews. In February, Clooney adamantly asserted that Markle was being unfairly “vilified” by the press, and in a subsequent interview he called her “a really kind and smart and intelligent young woman.”
Could They Have A Past?
According to NW, the reason the actor is speaking so fondly of the royal is that they share a romantic history.
“George and Meghan are great friends, but the way that he’s so publicly stood up for her recently makes it seem like they could have some kind of a past,” an alleged “insider” tells the magazine.
She’s Not Only Beautiful
The supposed source adds, “After all, Meg would be exactly George’s type. She’s beautiful and wants to make the world a better place. Plus, she goes after what she wants. She wouldn’t have been afraid to make a move on George when they were both single!”
When Was This “Fling?”
As for when this so-called “fling” would have occurred, the tabloid speculates it went down in early 2013, a few months prior to Clooney meeting his wife Amal and shortly before Markle finalized her divorce from first husband Trevor Engelson.
But Where Did They Meet?
Of course, the unreliable magazine doesn’t bother to explain where Clooney and Markle might have met. At the time, the actress was based in Toronto shooting the TV series “Suits.”
It’s Now A Joke!
The suspicious tipster goes on to say Clooney and Markle “laugh about [their fling] now.” It’s unclear if this means Prince Harry and Amal are aware of the alleged hookup or if their spouses are “laughing about it” behind their backs. It hardly matters, though, considering this is all fiction.
Philanthropic Pals
In reality, Clooney met Markle through Prince Harry, who he’s been pals with for several years. The actor and the royal struck up a friendship after meeting through their philanthropic work.
Double Dates?
According to E! News, Prince Harry introduced his wife to George and Amal when they “started getting serious,” and the two couples soon “started hanging out regularly.” The genesis of Clooney and Markle’s relationship can be traced back to Prince Harry. The pair didn’t have any sort of “fling” beforehand.
Are The Duke And Duchess Hiding Skeletons In Their Closet?
Gossip Cop also checked in with a source close to the situation, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but confirms that the tabloid’s report is total nonsense. NW is the same outlet we busted a few months ago for falsely claiming Prince Harry had a “secret love child.” The magazine has a habit of alleging that the Duke and Duchess are hiding skeletons in their closets. This latest take on the subject is more lies.
Prince Harry Not Real Father Of Meghan Markle’s Baby?
Prince Harry is not the real father of Meghan Markle’s baby Archie, reports one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Cop can debunk this untrue claim.
Not The Daddy?
In reality, the only thing that’s illegitimate is a new tabloid story that exclaims on its cover, “Harry’s NOT The Daddy.”
According to the Globe, “In the days leading up to Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, giving birth, the couple was stunned to learn a DNA test using amniotic fluid, routinely performed on royal babies, revealed the redhead is NOT the child’s daddy.”
No Joy For The Infant?
The article further contends Prince Harry “refuses to accept [a] royal DNA test proving he’s not the father of [his] American wife’s baby.” To make its phony premise seem believable, the habitually disproven supermarket tabloid quotes a so-called “high-level palace source” as saying, “Harry was devastated… All the joy he felt for the infant evaporated in an instant.”
It Can’t Be True!
The supposed tipster continues, “He turned ghastly white and Meghan burst into tears as she stammered, ‘This is impossible. It can’t be true.’” Actually, those last two phrases can more easily be said about the magazine’s report.
A Sick Scam?
The same purported “source” maintains that Prince Harry “turned on the royal official who brought the DNA and yelled, ‘This is a sick scam,’” before asking how Markle’s “enemies” within the palace could “concoct this conspiracy against an innocent child — our child?” A better question is how the publication thought it could get away with its concocted tale about Archie’s paternity.
A Second Test?
To cover its tracks, the often debunked publication adds how Prince Harry had a second DNA test taken, which showed “he is the infant’s biological father.” However, the almost assuredly made-up “palace source” says he’s been met by a “wall of skepticism from his family. No one seems to believe him.”
An Unfaithful Duchess Of Sussex?
Better yet, who believes the tabloid’s tale? Interestingly, nowhere in the article is it explained why Prince Harry even needed to take a DNA test, especially since there have never been any whispers about the Duchess of Sussex being unfaithful. Towards the end of the report, the tipster reiterates how Prince Harry knows “Meghan’s baby is his,” even if his relatives “aren’t convinced.”
Fictitious Royal Stories
Still, the “palace source” alleges in unnatural language that the spare heir “doesn’t want his child, while seventh in line for the throne, to be tortured by, ‘who’s the daddy?’ questions like he’s faced all his life since he looks nothing like Charles.”
Allow Gossip Cop to bluntly begin by saying the _Globe _has become known for manufacturing a lot of fictitious royals stories, many of which are about the new dad.
A “Love Child”
Glaringly, the outlet makes no mention whatsoever about the prince’s alleged other kid. Back in March 2018, the publication wrongly insisted Prince Harry had a “love child” who was going to derail his wedding. Of course, the couple wed a year ago, and Archie is his first (and only) child to date.
Prince Charles Disowned Prince Harry?
It’s also surprising that the magazine refers to the other royals as his “relatives” and “family,” because three months ago it published yet another bogus article in which it was claimed Prince Charles disowned Prince Harry after a “DNA shocker” of his own revealed the redheaded royal was not his biological son either. In that absurd story it stated, “Red-haired former royal bodyguard Mark Dyer is the real father.”
A Strong Resemblance
As we pointed out back then, while he bears a strong resemblance to his father as a young man, Prince Harry is a virtual clone of his grandfather, Prince Philip, from his military days. Additionally, Kensington Palace told Gossip Cop the narrative about him not being the Prince of Wales’ child was patently false. Apparently, reports about the paternity of royal children are a big seller for the tabloid.
Booted From The Royal Family?
Curiously, it’s never explained in this new cover story why Prince Charles’ second son is even around. Six weeks ago, the very same outlet swore up and down in another front page article that Queen Elizabeth booted Prince Harry and Markle from the royal family. Much the like aforementioned tales, as noted above, the only thing that’s not legitimate is the magazine’s assertion that Prince Harry is not the real father of Markle’s baby.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Raising Baby In America?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to raise their baby boy, Archie, in America, reports one of this week’s celebrity magazines. The claim, however, is completely untrue. While there’s a chance they will relocate for a certain amount of time outside the U.K., they are not moving to Hollywood or anywhere in the U.S.
Heading To The States?
According to the latest issue of the National Enquirer, “Royal rebel Megan is flat-out defying Queen Elizabeth’s order to move to Africa with Prince Harry and baby Archie.” Instead, they’re leaving Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage, which was a gift from the queen, and heading to the United States, contends the supermarket tabloid.
Treated Like A Queen In The States?
A so-called “source” is quoted as saying Markle has “gone totally rogue,” and is telling friends that “if the royal family want[s] her out of their hair, she’ll happily oblige by moving back to America.” The supposed tipster continues, “[Markle] boasts she’ll be treated like a queen there and have her mom around to babysit and wait on her hand and foot.”
Playdates With The Children Of Hollywood?
Noting then how there have been reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be sent to Africa to be commonwealth ambassadors, the alleged insider asserts, “Of course, they’ll promote projects in Africa. But live there? No way! Meghan’s insisting their newborn son be raised in America like she was.” Markle is “already looking for a multimillion-dollar home in a celebrity enclave like Malibu, where Archie can have playdates with the children of Hollywood stars and grow up swimming and surfing year-round,” relates the purported source.
Quitting The Royal Life?
The plotline about the royals relocating to the U.S. is not new, though the reasons for moving to America have shifted over the years, as have the magazine’s narratives. In fact, before he began dating the actress, the tabloid’s sister publication, OK!, ran a cover story in 2016 about Prince Harry moving to America, specifically Malibu, to find himself a princess. That was followed the next year by a Star article about Prince Harry and [then-girlfriend] Markle moving to America and quitting royal life to live in the Hollywood Hills.
What An Expensive Wedding Gift!
A year ago, well before there was talk about Prince Harry and Markle being royal envoys in Africa, there was another tabloid cover story about them moving to the United States. In that tale, published by Star a month before their marriage, it was alleged Prince Harry and Markle were moving to Malibu, and he was dropping millions of dollars on a property as a “wedding gift.” And after it was announced she was pregnant, there was yet another magazine article which declared Markle and Prince Harry were having their baby in America.
No Royals In Malibu!
All those reports were lies. Still, Gossip Cop looked into the new story, and we were assured on background that the royals are not moving to Malibu or anywhere else in America. It also bears mentioning the Enquirer is not exactly a reliable source of information about the couple. Just a couple of months ago, we busted the same outlet for a tale about Queen Elizabeth having “booted Prince Harry and Markle from the royal family.
Banished?
In that manufactured piece, it was wrongly claimed Prince Harry and his wife were “banished to Malta.” Of course, since that article, the Queen has spent time happily visiting Prince Harry, Markle and their baby. And this past Wednesday, Her Majesty had the redheaded royal at her garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Twins And America?
The publication also previously falsely swore up and down that Prince Harry is not Prince Charles’s son, but instead the child of Welsh guards officer Mark Dyer. And it ran another cover story about how Markle and Prince Harry were having twins. Rather than believing Markle and Prince Harry are moving to America, maybe it’s time for readers to move on from that outlet which clearly does not have trustworthy palace sources
Meghan Markle Battling Depression And Gaining Weight Following Birth Of Baby?
Meghan Markle is battling depression and gaining weight following the birth of her and Prince Harry’s baby Archie, according to a magazine cover story. The report claims the duchess “can’t stop crying,” and is consoling herself by “gobbling baked goods.” The article, however, is inaccurate.
Struggling To Cope With Motherhood?
The latest issue of the Globe features a photo of Markle sobbing (above), along with the headline, “Tormented Meghan: Battling Baby Depression.” Inside the supermarket tabloid it’s alleged Prince Harry has sent his wife to therapy because she’s “struggling to cope with motherhood,” and has “become a compulsive eating machine, gaining a staggering 37 pounds.” After the outlet calls the actress-turn-royal “chubby,” it contends Markle can “barely waddle herself out of the house.”
Markle And The Baby Blues
From there the publication asserts it has a “palace insider” who shares how Markle has “been diagnosed with postpartum and has the baby blues so bad, she barely gets out of bed.” “The only comfort she finds is in gobbling sugary baked goods, which have caused her weight to soar,” writes the often debunked outlet. The magazine’s seemingly manufactured “insider” adds, “[Prince Harry’s] pleading with Meghan to see specialists, but all she wants to do is sit in her room, sob and wolf down sweets.”
The Wrong Crying Picture?
Admittedly, Gossip Cop is not surprised at the falsity of the cover story, considering how many times we’ve called out the tabloid for its made-up tales about Markle and Prince Harry. Before we point out the magazine’s past fibs, let’s examine the latest article. For starters, the front page itself is completely deceptive. The picture of Markle crying has nothing to do with postpartum depression or anything related to her life as a royal. It’s a photo from the episode on “Suits” in which Markle’s character Rachel Zane got married.
Bed Or Baseball?
More significantly, the main premise about the Duchess of Sussex still “gaining” weight and constantly crying in her room, where she “barely leaves her bed,” is clearly a fabrication as well. Six days ago, for instance, a slimmed-down Markle was pictured with Prince Harry on Instagram, smiling at each other as they watched the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox play an exhibition game at London Stadium.
No Worries At Wimbledon!
Actually, far from being depressed and holed up in their cottage at Windsor Castle, an ecstatic and decidedly not “chubby” Markle was photographed cheering on her friend Serena William at Wimbledon on Thursday.
To recap, the publication’s entire narrative is based on an anonymous and possibly concocted “insider.” Conversely, there is visual proof that Markle has not packed on 37 pounds since giving birth to her and Prince Harry’s son Archie. It’s also obvious she’s not homebound, not does she appear “depressed.”
Fictitious Tales About The Royals Continue
Gossip Cop, of course, has repeatedly corrected the Globe for publishing wholly fictitious tales about the royals. Just a couple of weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted the publication when it ran a cover story that untruthfully maintained Prince Harry had a “secret showdown” with Donald Trump.
No-Show To Meet The President?
In that article, it was stated Markle was a no-show to meet with the president because of remarks he made about the actress. Unable to keep track of its lies, the reason she didn’t join the other royals during Trump’s state visit last month, claims the new report, is that she was too “depressed” and “ashamed” of her weight gain to be seen publicly.
A Threat To The Wedding?
Curiously, the magazine doesn’t mention in its latest article how it previously reported Prince Harry is not the real father of his and Markle’s baby. That was a front page story the tabloid printed less than two months ago. Also missing in the current piece is how the outlet insisted Prince Harry had a “love child” that threatened to derail his wedding to Markle more than a year ago.
The Tabloid That Doesn’t Have The Truth
Gossip Cop shot down each and every one of those bogus tales. And much like those reports, the new cover story about Markle battling depressed, gaining weight, and not wanting to leave her bedroom is also provably wrong. The only battle here is the one the tabloid has with the truth.
