Soldiers and the TSA unfortunately must mix every now and again, and with plenty of, erm, baggage. And massive weapons. Here's a couple of the craziest soldier's stories on their "issues" with the TSA:
"The hilarious thing was we still went through security, and I had to throw away my Leatherman because it had a knife… and walked through with my M4. We didn't have ammo, so the weapons weren't really dangerous, but apparently a Leatherman knife was."
Yup. Can confirm. We flew from HI to IQ and it was stupid- we were walking through an airport and carrying all our weapons… security was confused on what to do and eventually let us walk on by… they wanted to take our knives and shit, we talked them out of it. Sorry to hear you got hosed though.
