Known as the “Gentleman Peeler,” Joe Ades made his living pitching five dollar potato peelers on the streets of New York City. Donning his traditional $1,000 suits and Turnbull & Asser shirts, Ades put on amazing demonstrations of his product while keeping the crowd engaged. Although he passed away in 2009, the legend of the “Gentleman Peeler” lives on. Watch this amazing video of Ades doing what he loved the most, entertaining and informing his customers.
